QRILL PAWS - A Historic Moment for Dog Mushing

Sunday 26th of January was a historic day for all fans of dog mushing. The very first live coverage in full broadcast quality, was launched with the start in Duluth, with the John Beargrease Sled Dog Race. QRILL Pet Arctic World Series is brought to life, and will consist of four different races for 2020.

CEO of Aker Biomarine and dog musher Matts Johansen was the very first guest in the studio in Oslo.

“When I see the broadcast, the fantastic crowd in the Beargrease race, and the amazing studio set here in Oslo, I get really proud and I am so looking forward to all the races”, says Johansen.

Dallas Seavey is a well know Musher, this year he will be the studio expert, together with Nina Skramstad. Together they will cover the upcoming races.

“I am very excited about the whole concept. There has been talks of this since I was young, but now it´s finally becoming a reality. I am very confident that this will be a success. I love seing the dog sled sports on a bigger stage and being brought out to more people”, says Dallas. 

“We know that it will take years to build this sport. But we have patience and we will build it over time”, says Johansen.

The broadcast in Duluth, Minnesota will continue for the next two days, after that we will fly over to. Norway for the Femund Race.

Several thousands people witnessed the start of this years Beargrease. Ryan Redington was the first to arrive at the first checkpoint, ahead of Keith Aili and Blake Freking. Blake is last years winner, if you wonder if he can do it again - be sure to watch the live coverage 24/7.
