Despite challenging times for race organizers all over the world, we are finally about to launch what we have been working on for months - QRILL PAWS 2021 IS READY TO ROLL!
QRILL PAWS 2021 is ready to go live!
A season that normally would have been filled with race news and live action from four spectacular long distances races from January through March, has been subject to some change. However, we are still proud to be able to bring you the best possible coverage of the 2021 race editions, with whatever changes and adaptations they have been forced to apply. No need to worry – QRILL PAWS 2021 will be as spectacular as ever.
John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon – January 31st - February 3rd
The spectacular 300-mile race on Minnesota’s North Shore, honoring the 19th century mail man John Beargrease, takes place in the beginning of February. To catch all the action, please visit the following channels:

Beargrease 2021 kicks off this Sunday, despite challenges with a global pandemic and lack of snow in Duluth, Minnesota.
Femundløpet – Cancelled
Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Norway, the Directory of Health decided together with the race organizers that the 2021 edition of Femundløpet had to be cancelled.
Volga Quest – Cancelled
This year’s edition of the race along the riverbank of Volga, has been forced into cancellation. They were working on a one-day event as an alternative, which eventually turned out impossible with the current global pandemic.
Iditarod – March 6th - March 16th
The toughest sled dog race in the world is once again happening in the wilderness of Alaska. The 1000-mile distance has been shortened to 860-miles, with start and finish in Willow, Alaska. The race will be somewhat different to what it usually is, but still an extreme test of what the dog teams are capable in the harsh conditions of Alaska. This is something you don’t want to miss out on:

QRILL PAWS 2021
The Qrill Pet Arctic World Series was established as a series of the largest sled dog events in the world, aiming to elevate the sport, and bring it out the a broader audience. The intention was to be able to crown a winner of the whole series, based on a point system covering all races. However, with the current pandemic, preventing mushers from travelling abroad, there will no general classification covering the series as a whole. The different races will crown their respective winners and podium finishers in 2021, while there will not be any QRILL PAWS 2021 Championship to fight for. We will save that for 2022!
