Thomas the Berserker in the Lead
Thomas Waerner of the Berserk kennel in Norway, is in a very good position in this year’s Iditarod. He was the first musher to leave Kaltag, and is now going full pace to Unalakleet. At the moment the Norwegian is 10 miles ahead of Jessie Royer and Aaron Burmeister.

Ulanakleet is at the coast of Alaska, and right now there is challenging conditions with strong wind and heavy snowfall. So far Thomas has left two dogs behind, but the orange QRILL Pet Team looks very strong and fast. Thomas has been training a lot in deep snow this winter, and definitely is a musher to follow when we are six days into the race.
