The Norwegian biotech company Aker BioMarine has teamed up with the world’s greatest dog sledding race, The Iditarod, and three other legendary races in Minnesota (John Beargrease), Norway (Femund Race) and Russia (Volga Quest) to create QRILLPAWS.

The first season started January 2020.

Here are some of the global brands using QRILL Pet:

Inspire all dog owners

QRILL PAWS is looking to inspire and influence regular, everyday dog owners — by shining a light on the practices of elite dog mushers and the exceptional dog care they provide.

The dog mushers featured in QRILL PAWS can be a great example for dog owners around the world in regards to training, nutrition, general welfare and guidelines for their own dogs.

Why the initative?

QRILL PAWS is a result of Aker BioMarine’s commitment to and long-term investment in dog mushing.

Over the past three years, the company have been working with the athletes and race organizers to learn more about the sport and its many amazing components.

We want to help it get the international attention and recognition it deserves.

For us as a pet nutrition company - it is important to be associated with a sport and lifestyle with focus on the best nutrition solutions combined with top performance and an uncompromising pursuit for the best dog welfare.

It’s as simple as this:
As long as these dogs get the best food and treatment, they love to run in the wilderness. They are made to do exactly this.

Sport, lifestyle, adventure

This sport has “everything”;
- interaction between dogs and humans
- amazing Arctic settings and the challenges this extreme environment presents,
- the exotic places with ancient histories and rich cultural tapestries — all combined with the adventures of completing the races.

This provides a magnificent product for audiences worldwide.

For us, it will be important to show the joy the dogs have while racing down the trail and the competence these dog mushers embody.

WORLDWIDE MEDIA INTEREST

This new initiative have already gained a lot of international interest, through major media outlets: The New York Times, Washington Post, ABC News, Associated Press, NRK, Aftenposten and several more.
