Ryan Anderson - The New Beargrease Champion

Tuesday, March 1st 2022, Ryan Anderson and his dogs crossed the finish-line first in Grand Portage, making him the new John Beargrease Sled Dog Champion.

This is now the fourth time that musher Ryan Anderson - from Cushing, Wisconsin - has won this race.

It took him and his dog team 2 days 6 hours and 27 minutes to complete the 300 mile (480 km) trail in Minnesota, US.

Tough Conditions

Warm temperatures made it difficult this year. The soft snow forced as many as 13 mushers drop out before the finish in Grand Portage. Despite tough trails Ryan Anderson and his team crossed the finish-line first.
